Flag History

The Bennington Flag is one of America's oldest and most famous flags. Dating to the early 1800s, it commemorates the spirit of the American Revolution. The flag is unique in that it contains the number "76" surrounded by an arch of seven pointed stars, and the stripes start and end with white rather than the customary red.
